01Who we are
Metal Parts Pty Ltd (ABN 73 702 641 441) handles personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
02What we collect
- Your name, email address, phone number and delivery address.
- The CAD files you upload, and the geometry we derive from them to price your job.
- Your order and quote history.
- Payment information, which goes directly to Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Basic technical data such as IP address and browser type, used to keep the site working and secure.
03Why we collect it
To quote your job, manufacture your parts, take payment, get the parcel to you, meet our tax and record keeping obligations, and answer you when you get in touch.
04Your CAD files
Your files are used to make your parts and to let you reorder them. We do not sell them, share them with other customers, or use them to make parts for anyone else.
Files are retained so you can reorder. If you want yours deleted, ask us and we will remove them, subject to any records we are legally required to keep.
05Who else touches your information
We use a small number of service providers to run the business:
- Our quoting provider, for quoting, file handling and the customer portal.
- Stripe for payment processing.
- Freight carriers, who receive your name, address and phone number so they can deliver.
- Google Workspace for email, and Crazy Domains for site hosting.
- Our manufacturing partner, who receives your files and specifications in order to make your parts.
Some of these providers store data outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to make sure they handle it consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
06Marketing
If you opt in, we may email you about products and offers. Every message has an unsubscribe link and we act on it promptly. We do not sell your details to anyone.
07Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and access is limited to people who need it to do their job. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information and will notify you and the OAIC if an eligible data breach occurs.
08Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep your session and your quote working. These cannot be turned off without breaking the site. We may also use analytics cookies to understand which pages people use, and advertising cookies if we are running a campaign. Where those are in use you will be asked to consent before they are set, and you can withdraw that consent at any time through your browser settings.

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us and we will respond within a reasonable time.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
